Rupp Family Construction

History

Rupp Family Construction began in 1986 as “3 R’s Handyman Service” with Charles Rupp. The business operated on a referral basis only, seeking to provide quality and honest contractor services to friends and neighbors. This goal soon proved to be short sighted, as it became obvious that the services provided were in great demand. Since those first years, the business has grown into Rupp Family Construction, a thriving business, offering a variety of contracting services.

In the beginning, Charles ran the business as a sole proprietor with his youngest son Garrett as the willing “assistant” at seven years old. In 1997, Charles, Ken, and Garrett decided to pursue construction on a larger scale. By 1998, Rupp Family Construction was formed. That’s when the whole family jumped on the bandwagon. Chuck’s wife, Gail, worked on advertising and marketing. His youngest daughter, Jen, took over as bookkeeper; her husband as the accountant. Charles and Ken were project managers, while Garrett pursued a degree in business administration at Eastern Oregon University.

It has been a long road since the beginning. There have been economic ups and downs, but Rupp Family Construction is still thriving. Recent developments include a change in ownership: Ken has moved on to become a successful lumber broker and Charles retired from the presidential role; handing over the company to Garrett after having graduated from EOU with a business degree. Garrett’s college friend Jon Burch joined Rupp Family Construction as the company began to grow, and now has his place in the company as office manager and marketing manager.

The one constant is that family has always been at the center of our company. We are a company willing to work one-on-one with our customers to achieve their desired results and dreams. This includes all projects (large or small) and custom construction. We remain flexible and willing to solve problems as they occur, reducing the stress remodeling and construction can often cause.
